Offered for sale is the exceptional Grönefeld 1941 Principia Automatic, featuring the stunning turquoise dial, presented in unworn condition and supplied as a complete full set.
Created by Dutch brothers Bart and Tim Grönefeld, this remarkable timepiece combines independent Dutch watchmaking with exceptional hand-finishing and understated elegance. The beautiful matte turquoise dial is crafted from solid sterling silver and complemented by flame-blued Lancette hands and a sculpted stainless-steel case. Through the sapphire crystal caseback, the meticulously finished in-house movement is beautifully displayed.
Powering the watch is the Grönefeld Calibre G-06, an in-house automatic movement featuring a 22-karat gold rotor, hand-finished stainless-steel bridges and approximately 56 hours of power reserve.
Fun Fact:
The Principia was named after Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica, Sir Isaac Newton’s groundbreaking work on the laws of motion and universal gravitation. It was also the first automatic wristwatch created by the Grönefeld brothers, marking an important milestone in their independent watchmaking journey.
