Audermars Piquet is a manufacurer of luxury mechanical watches and clocks, based in Switzerland.
They are best known for introducing the Royal Oak wristwatch in 1972, which helped the brand rise to prominence within the watchmaking industry. The watch is considered to be the first luxury sports watch in the world. It was inspired by traditional diving helmets and therefore featured exposed screw heads as well as an unique case design.
